Yesterday, on 4th September, speaker of the national assembly Moses Masika Wetang’ula urged the people of Western Kenya to support President William Ruto in the coming general election. Speaking during the bodaboda empowerment forum held in Nalondo, Kabuchai constituency.
Wetang’ula has singled out the projects that are currently being done by the national government, starting with roads, the sugar industry and others. Speaker Wetang’ula asked Members of the Parliament from Western Kenya to ensure all brokers in the sugar sector are held accountable; he has encouraged the sugar farmers to embrace sugar cane farming.

At the same time he has said since Kenya kwanza government entered in the office,the administration under the leadership of president William Ruto has lowerd the price of fertilizer from Ksh 7000 to Ksh 2500 and also revealed the government has lowered the price to Ksh 2000. Wetang’ula, at the same time, said that at the moment the Kenya Kwanza government has put billions of money to build roads across Bungoma County.
The roads under construction are Sikata, Bokoli Kimilili Road, Bukembe, Nzoia Mutomolo Road, Maeni Maeni, Mkulima Kapsokwonyi Road, Misikhu Naitiri, Brigadier Road, among others. The projects, he says, will change the lives of people. However, Speaker Wetang’ula has urged the Teachers Service Commission to ensure there’s accountability in the employment and deployment of teachers across the country. In his statement, Wetang’ula said Ruto’s Government has employed many teachers in the last four years as compared to any other government.
