A section of Members of Parliament under the Western Caucus umbrella convened for a breakfast consultative meeting with the Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs Development, FCPA Wycliffe Oparanya.

The engagement provided a platform to align on key priorities affecting cooperatives, including coffee revitalization efforts in the region and the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which remain critical drivers of economic empowerment.

Leaders also deliberated on the political direction of the Mulembe nation ahead of the 2027 general election, focusing on unity, strategic positioning, and safeguarding the region’s collective interests.

Meanwhile, Trans-Nzoia Governor George Natembeya held discussions with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi on Western Kenya and national political alignments in the run-up to 2027.
