Jubilee Deputy Party Leader Fred Matiang’i has criticized ongoing attacks against former President Uhuru Kenyatta, describing them as petty and lacking decency.
Speaking in Nairobi, Matiang’i urged leaders to uphold respect, adhere to constitutional values, and avoid engaging in personal insults. He emphasized the need for respectful and disciplined political discourse.
He noted that Kenya’s democracy should be defined by mature debate and the ability to handle differences with dignity, rather than promoting division and hostility.
Matiang’i maintained that Uhuru has the right to express his views freely, calling on leaders to focus on addressing the real challenges facing citizens instead of engaging in divisive rhetoric.
