The ODM Party today hosted its inaugural ODM Youth Convention at the ASK Hall in Jamhuri, Nairobi. The event brought together young people from 17 constituencies across Nairobi County, marking the beginning of a series of youth-focused engagements that will soon extend to other counties, with Mombasa scheduled to host the next session next Sunday.

During the meeting, leaders from the party’s Linda Ground wing emphasized the importance of respecting party leader Oburu Odinga, a sentiment strongly echoed by the youth in attendance. In their remarks, they cautioned against internal criticism, stressing that loyalty and discipline remain central to ODM’s unity.

Party Leader Oburu Odinga reaffirmed that ODM will continue to play a central role in Kenya’s political landscape, either independently or in collaboration with other parties. He clarified that while no member will be expelled, all leaders and supporters are expected to uphold party discipline.

Deputy Party Leader Simba Arati also addressed the gathering, urging UDA Secretary General Omar Hassan to refrain from making remarks that could strain relations between ODM and UDA, warning that such statements risk undermining cooperation between the two parties.
