Kakamega County Commissioner James Taari Rwaria has threatened to strip chiefs and assistant chiefs off their official uniforms if incidents of cattle rustling are not addressed within their jurisdictions.

Speaking during Mashujaa Day celebrations on 20th October at the Bukura Agricultural College grounds in the Lurambi constituency, Butsotso South, County Commissioner Taari urged chiefs and their assistants to take full responsibility for tackling cattle rustling while also advising county residents to remain vigilant regarding their livestock. These happen after several cases of cattle rustling have been reported in some areas within the county, especially in Lurambi.

Let us continue with the same spirit to allow freedom to everyone.” Taari advised.
