The Public Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), has convened a preliminary scoping meeting to commence preparations for a comprehensive Accessibility and Usability Audit of the Commission.
Speaking during the meeting, PSC Secretary/CEO Paul Famba reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to working closely with NCPWD to position PSC as a model institution in accessibility, disability inclusion, and mainstreaming within the public service.
β€œThis exercise is critical for the Commission and the public service at large. As we evaluate other institutions, we must also ensure that we are fully compliant and able to serve as a model for the entire public service,” said Famba.
The audit will systematically assess the extent to which PSC’s physical infrastructure, digital platforms, service systems, employment practices, and institutional culture are accessible.
